- Some websites still show the old dates, so use the dates below, which come from SASSA’s revised schedule.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has revised its November 2026 grant payment dates so that payments don’t clash with the local government elections on Wednesday, 4 November. National Treasury approved the new schedule after consultations with stakeholders.
“The agency remains committed to ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive their grants in an orderly and reliable manner,” SASSA said when it announced the change.

| Disability Grant | Monday, 2 November 2026 |
| Children’s grants (Child Support, Foster Care, Care Dependency) | Tuesday, 3 November 2026 |

How much are SASSA grants in November 2026?
The grant amounts below have applied since 1 April 2026, following Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana’s February 2026 Budget:
| Grant | Monthly amount |
|---|---|
| Older Persons Grant (60–74) | R2,400 |
| Older Persons Grant (75 and older) | R2,420 |
| War Veterans Grant | R2,420 |
| Disability Grant | R2,400 |
| Care Dependency Grant | R2,400 |
| Foster Child Grant | R1,295 |
| Child Support Grant | R580 |
| Grant-in-Aid | R580 |
| SRD grant | R370 |
When is the SRD R370 grant paid in November?
The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant does not follow the same dates. SRD payments are released in batches during the month, and each person’s payment date depends on when their application was approved. Check your status on the official SRD website, srd.sassa.gov.za, rather than relying on social media posts.
Do I have to withdraw my money on the payment date?
No. Your grant stays in your account until you withdraw it, so there is no need to queue on the first day. SASSA and the Post Office have repeatedly advised beneficiaries to avoid month-start rushes, especially in the busy election week.
